S2C Headquarter

This building, located in the center of Milan, showcases a sophisticated blend of steel and wood, epitomizing modern architectural innovation.

The structure features a striking facade composed of large glass panels that reveal the interior's wooden elements, creating a warm and inviting contrast against the sleek steel framework.

The building's unique design includes a dynamic, angular shape that adds a sense of movement and contemporary flair to the urban landscape. The extensive use of glass allows natural light to flood the interior spaces, enhancing the openness and connectivity between the indoors and the bustling city outside.

More about this project

"The 42 m high volume will consist of eight floors above ground with two basement levels. Designed as a traditional beam structure, the skeleton of the tower consists of three elements: core, columns and floors.

The core, a monolithic element of the composition, is designed to resist lateral forces such as wind and seismic activity and houses services, technical rooms and vertical distribution systems.

The mezzanine ground floor is intended for co-working spaces and small meeting rooms, the upper floors will be distributed with workstations and a boardroom on the top floor from which it will be possible to reach the panoramic rooftop solarium."

"The mechanical features adopted, such as photovoltaic cells, geothermal systems using groundwater for heat exchange, rainwater harvesting, high-efficiency mechanical units, and automatic management of all systems through BMS, are all aimed at minimising energy consumption.

The new S2C Insurance Company headquarters is one of the first structures in Italy to simultaneously pursue LEED Platinum, WELL Platinum and WiredScore Gold certifications, three prestigious certifications that testify, in different ways, to compliance with all those fundamental criteria for the construction of a building with high living comfort and low impact on the planet."
