Wineries
GaS Studio USA were asked to rethink the arrival experience at Cuvaison Winery. The new executive leader desired an enhanced visiter experience - Douglas added a new covered walkway, entrance foyer, opened up the Gallery Room and expanded the popular outdoor terrace surrounded by waves of vineyards.
Interior spaces are light filled and open up to the outdoor terrace, blurring the line between interior/exterior. A new entrance gate incorporating the winery’s unique logo welcomes guests upon arrival.
Phase II of the refresh, done in 2023, added the VIP Pavilions for Wine Club Members to enjoy tasting wine while floating over the north pond. Surrounded by native plants, this waterside environment supports several waterfowl and bird species that migrate over the property.
The 7,000 sf winery production facility, also built in 2010, consist of a winery production area, barrel storage area, winemaker's laboratory, office, employee break room, conference room, and additional office space.

Cuvaison is located right off Highway 121, but once you enter the gates, the traffic feels worlds away. The glass-walled tasting room is set in the middle of a bucolic bowl formed by 200 acres of vineyards and cradled by the rolling hills of the Carneros wine region. Cuvaison recently gave their digs a refresh, too. The winery extended the outdoor terrace and added cozy, resort-style furniture that elicits a Cabo vibe without the beach. Seasonal hikes are one of the best ways to experience the estate’s beauty, and there are plans to launch lakeside tasting pavilions in 2023.
