Homizy Tucidide
Homizy Tucidide is a building redevelopment project of two tower buildings (10 storeys each) previously intended for office use, inserted within a highly characterised context such as that of the Via Tucidide tower complex and positioned on the edge of the urban fabric in direct correlation with the Tucidide Woods and Forlanini Park.
The appearance of the two towers is reconfigured in the compositional respect of what is foreseen by the Masterplan generating the whole redevelopment process of the entire complex.
In fact, the project in question seeks to tie in with the compositional rules of the new façades of towers 5 and 6, which have been converted into accommodation facilities while maintaining their identity as residential buildings.
The window openings maintain the same module as the existing façades and will be emphasised not only by the darker colour of the plaster, but also by the alternation of pilasters and stringcourses of different sizes realised by means of thicker insulation.
The loggias, as an element of dissimilarity from the tertiary towers, are incorporated into the language of the pilasters and camouflaged by their rhythm in the façade. The ground floor and the terraces are mainly intended for collective activities in the new Co-living living concept for a target group of young students or professionals.
More about this project
"Strip-out activities have started on the buildings in Via Tucidide, on which one of Homizy SIIQ's residential projects is being realised.
The contract to carry out the works has been awarded to Impresa Santambrogio, a Milan-based company specialising in demolition, excavation, earthworks and waste storage.
The realisation of the project will see the preservation of the structures of the existing buildings, now used as offices, through the removal and disposal of foreign elements, and the subsequent construction of the multi-room flats intended for income generation. The strip-out activity will last just over three months, after which work will begin on the change of use."
