Autodesk
(Milan, Neuchatel, Paris)

Autodesk represents one of the most cutting edge design tools in the industry and it is not surprising therefore that the brief explicitly encouraged design and it’s ability to reconcile an international brand that recognizes a local culture: how to speak of both an international reality and a local flair in Europe’s design capital.

We have designed various offices for Autodesk across Europe, including locations in Paris, Milan, and Neuchatel. Each project showcases our commitment to creating innovative and functional workspaces tailored to meet Autodesk's needs.

Milan

The exterior of the project is in dialogue with the interior, influenced by the architectural context both positively and negatively. The building, far from a typical office structure, lacks usual requirements like flexibility and efficiency. Instead, it offers unique features not commonly found in 99% of offices, such as double-height spaces and unconventional floor plans without large rectangular areas, prompting us to explore different layouts.

Our main goal, in collaboration with Autodesk's brief, is to achieve a Green Interior Design through GaS Architects, aiming for a LEED Gold certification. Sustainability is integral to our approach, with the LEED green building program awarding points for various factors, including energy efficiency, material type and source, recyclability, insulation, workspace quality, lighting, and water conservation.

More about this project

"Another important factor regarding the project materials:: Italy is not a country rich in raw materials, it is not famous for its steel or wood industries. But it is very well known the concept of Italian masonry , italian experience in the dough, italian fine craftsmanship. So we decided to design a straight line, a great wall that links between two floors. This wall was total covered with handmade Venetian plaster. A third element was the decoration of the rooms: it is performed with projects aimed with Autodesk software, but they show projects and drawings by the most famous Italian designers."
